While on the Teams tab (left side of the Teams app), click on "Join or create a team" near the lower left. Click the "Create team" button, then select a team type according to the intended use of the team. Type a name for the team.  The team name will automatically be prefixed with "MSCTC-" and suffixed with "-Team", this should show below the name as you type it.  Optionally, add a description.  Click Next. The creator of the team will automatically be added as an owner.
